Our Story
The fire has always been the centre.
What is The Hearth
A living school of womanhood.
The Hearth is an international community for women. A place to gather, learn, remember, question, create, receive, contribute, and belong.
It is not another self-help website, coaching program, wellness membership, or spiritual guru platform. Women are not coming here because they are projects that need to be continually fixed.
There is space for healing, but women are also here to live, create, love, lead, mother, build, make art, make money, develop skills, deepen friendships, experience pleasure, become wiser, and discover what brings them alive.
The Central Idea
Women gathering around the fire again.
Historically, the hearth was the fire at the centre of the home: a place where people gathered for warmth, nourishment, making, conversation, ceremony, and relationship.
The Hearth reimagines that ancient gathering place for women around the world today. Not literally recreating the past, but remembering something ancient about women learning, sharing wisdom, creating, witnessing one another, and tending community together.
Across cultures, fire has been a place of gathering, nourishment and ceremony. We honour that without appropriating any particular culture or tradition.
Belonging should never require self-abandonment.
What we believe
Wisdom lives in many places.
In education and lived experience.
We honour formal learning and the knowledge carried in a life fully lived. Neither is more true than the other.
In elders and younger women.
Wisdom does not only move in one direction. We sit with elders and we listen to younger voices. Both carry what the circle needs.
In the body and the intellect.
We do not ask women to leave their minds at the door, nor to distrust their bodies. Both are sources of knowing.
In science and spirituality.
We do not require women to choose. The Hearth holds space for rigorous inquiry and for mystery, for evidence and for what cannot yet be measured.
In ancient teachings and what we are discovering now.
We are not nostalgic for a past that never existed. We are curious about what endures and what is still being learned.
No teacher, facilitator, healer, elder, philosophy or community becomes the authority over another woman's inner knowing. The work should help women trust themselves more — not become dependent upon the people teaching them.
A central principle
Every woman belongs to herself.
A woman should not have to agree, disclose, perform vulnerability, perform spirituality, or become someone else in order to belong.
Her boundaries, privacy and no are respected. She is met as she is — not as a project, not as a potential, but as a whole person who arrived here already carrying something worth knowing.
Every woman belongs to herself.
Belonging should never require self-abandonment.
Wisdom moves around the circle.
We meet the human before we try to change her.
Relationship matters.
Women are here for more than healing.
What we receive, we eventually carry forward.
Come and gather.
If something in you recognises this — if you have been looking for a place like this without knowing what to call it — you are already home.
